PepoFit ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PepoFit mobile application and website (pepofit.com) (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Name (if provided)
- Authentication data via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, if you choose those methods
- Encrypted password (if you sign up with email/password)
Location Data
With your permission, we collect your device's location to show nearby hotel gyms and alternative gym options, display running routes near your current location, and calculate distances to gyms and fitness facilities.
You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Some features may not function properly without location access.
User-Submitted Content
We collect and store content you submit, including:
- Gym and hotel gym ratings and reviews
- Photos you upload
- Comments or feedback
This content may be visible to other users of the Service as part of PepoFit's community-driven rating system.
Usage Data
We may automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including pages viewed, features used, and general usage patterns, to help us improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Show relevant hotel gyms, nearby gym alternatives, and running routes
- Display your ratings and reviews to other users
- Communicate with you about your account or the Service
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Facilitate affiliate bookings (e.g., hotel bookings) when you choose to use those features
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google Maps/Places for location features)
- Affiliate partners (e.g., Booking.com, ClassPass) when you click through to book a hotel or gym day pass — these partners have their own privacy policies governing information collected on their platforms
- Other users, limited to publicly visible content like your ratings, reviews, and display name
- Law enforcement or legal authorities, if required by law
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, our authentication and database provider. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Choices
You can:
- Update or delete your account information at any time
- Disable location permissions through your device settings
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@pepofit.com
6. Children's Privacy
PepoFit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
